Services offered by the unit are:

 

1. Conduct food supply assessment in conjunction with other stakeholders

2. Provide advice on food supply policies

3. Gather , analyse and disseminate information on food security issues

4. Provide early warning information on the expected weather conditions and crop production in liaison with the  Department of Meteorological Services

5. Liaise with regional and international bodies on issues of food security that have a bearing on the local food security context.
